About us

Wine makers are busy people. Grapes, although hearty plants, require massive amounts of care to bring them to harvest. The number of variables that one has to deal with when taking on the task is stagering. Throughout the growing season one must deal with mold, bugs, weeds, birds, too much water, not enough water, and the culling of immature bunches, to name a few. And while all this is going on a winemaker must pay attention to the wine. If there is one thing for sure, it ain’t easy.

The growers and makers in Idaho are a unique bunch themselves. This community is so small that they all watch out for each other. When one grape farmer needs a hand, the others are right there to lend it. That’s the spirit of Idaho and why I love this state.

It’s the reason I started Idaho Winery Tours in June of 2009. It is my vision to open the doors of Idaho’s wine coutry to the world. Year after year the grape growers and wine makers work tirelessly to create spectacular Pion Gris, Malbes, Syrahs, Chardonnays, Cabernets, Merlots, Tempranillos, Ice Wines, Desert Wines and many other blends. They should be shared with the world.

If you come Southwest Idaho for business or pleasure be sure to take a tour and savor the bounty of the vineyards and beauty of the Snake River Valley.
